Privacy
What this website collects about you, who can see it, and how to change or remove it. Fallsmead Homes Corporation doesn't sell or share your information.
Sample policy. A starting point written for how this site works, for Fallsmead Homes Corporation's board to review with its attorney and adopt.
What the site collects
- Your account: your name, email address and password. Passwords are handled by the sign-in service and never seen by the board.
- Your household's listing, only what you choose to add: the people in your home, phone numbers, kids' first names and birth years, pets, work and hobbies, and teens offering to help as sitters or with yard work.
- Dues payments: who paid, how much and when. Card and bank details go straight to PayPal; this site never sees or stores them.
- Reservations: what you booked and when.
- Messages and sign-ups: what you send through the contact form, and your email if you join the newsletter.
Who can see it
- The public pages (events, documents and news meant for everyone) show no personal information.
- The neighborhood directory is only for signed-in residents. They see what your household chose to list.
- You can hide your household. Hidden households show as a gray dot on the map, with no names or details.
- Board members and volunteers see what their role needs: the membership volunteer sees sign-ups to approve them, and the treasurer sees who has paid dues.
- The companies that run the site (website hosting, the sign-in and database service, and email delivery) store and process it on Fallsmead Homes Corporation's behalf, and for nothing else.
Fallsmead Homes Corporation never sells your information, and never shares it with advertisers or anyone outside the neighborhood, unless the law requires it.
Cookies
The site uses one cookie to keep you signed in. There's no advertising or tracking. Visitor counts are kept without cookies and without identifying anyone.
Children
Accounts are for adults. Children appear only as their parents list them (a first name and birth year), and a teen is listed as a helper only if a parent turns that on. Parents can change or remove any of it at any time.
Changing or removing your information
- Edit or hide your household's listing any time from your profile.
- To delete your account, or when you move out of Fallsmead, email the board at news@fallsmead.org and your listing comes down.
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter with the link in any email.
