A seventeen-acre park in the middle of it all.
Fallsmead is a family-oriented community of 291 homes in Rockville, bounded by Falls Road and Wootton Parkway, just off I-270.
Kettler built Fallsmead starting in 1968, and the neighborhood has kept its directories, newsletters and flyers ever since. The Fallsmead Forum dates back to 1969.
Every homeowner is automatically a member of the Fallsmead Homes Corporation and a part-owner of the park and its amenities. A nine-member volunteer board holds two community-wide meetings a year.
Families walk to Fallsmead Elementary, Frost Middle and Wootton High, and the Fallsmead Sharks swim in the Montgomery County Swim League every summer.
Fallsmead Park
The crown jewel of the neighborhood is Fallsmead Park: seventeen private acres with a pond, paved paths and wooded trails, meadows and a level, grassy playing field.
The park is also home to the pool, a competition-length 25-meter pool with six lanes, a diving well and a wading pool, plus the tennis and pickleball courts, the playground and a basketball hoop.
Everything in the park is for Fallsmead residents only, and every homeowner is part-owner of it.
